Shangri-la Diet (15 pounds in 6 weeks)

I've been using something called the Shangri-la diet since June 2. When I started it I was at 205 pounds and now I'm down to 190 pounds. That is 15 pounds in 6 weeks, 2.5 pounds per week, which is a nice steady and healthy pace for weight loss I think.

I might have been quite a bit lower I think, but during our trip to Montana I stopped using it and have not really gotten back on it properly since we returned. (Which reminds me I need to put up my photos from the trip still! Maybe later on today, after the yard work and the refrigerator delivery)

Of late I have been drinking a lot of alcohol and munching large quantities of popcorn late at night. I have been considering cutting out the hard alcohol from my diet completely. No whiskey, no rum, no brandy or vodka, also no beer. The only thing I will drink will be wine with supper and that with a 2 glass (4oz each) limit. This is because it really does interfere with my diet, and with my thinking as well. It leaves me a bit bleary and foggy minded the next morning and that is not how I want to be anyway.

I'll give periodic progress reports as I go along. My goal is to get down to 160 at least so I have a ways to go yet.
