My week
I have had a strange week. To start with I had to work on Saturday because I owed Pat a day from months ago when he worked for me.
That made the week odd right there.
On Tuesday I started the day with a flood in the building. A teenage son of one of our residents, who will remain nameless ;-), turned on the faucet in his bathtub early in the morning, then fell back asleep, with the inevitable result.
I learned of the problem he caused when his older sister, who lives in a condo two floors below him, called me frantically the second I entered the lobby telling me there was water pouring from the cieling of her closet. Eventually we traced the water back to the little brother's bathroom.
So Tuesday was chaos at work all day long in getting in the water extraction company to dry out three soggy condos, and letting the owner of the condo in between that his place had gotten a bit damp.
Later in the day I went with Mike to a Giants game against the Mets. We got to see Barry Bonds hit a home run but that was about the only highlight for the Giants as they went down in flames against the Mets, who just might be the best team in the National League, at least they look it early in the season.
Tonight we are going to play hooky from church and attend the Symphony. One of the residents at work gave me tickets to the
Sold Out Joshua Bell Performance:
Joshua Bell plays Mozart
Violin virtuoso Joshua Bell is soloist in a Mozart concerto—part of our celebration of Mozart at 250. Mozart was a god to Tchaikovsky, whose Souvenir de Florence reveals a string orchestra’s potential for heart-rending beauty. Joshua Bell is an SFS audience favorite. Meet Joshua Bell for an exclusive CD signing of his recordings following the concerts, at the Symphony Store in the lobby.
