Rejoicing - Day 2
Well, now that I've had 24 hours for the reality of this to sink in I'm still very happy that the Lord has guided us this far, that Lora is back in touch with me and is recognizing that she needs help. I've heard from several people via email who feel that any therapist who would diagnose someone as bi-polar and prescribe medication in a single visit is incompetent and Lora should avoid going back to them. I have to agree with that!
I'm thinking that a good thing to have her do would be for her to begin attending church again, there is great healing and comfort to be found in the confession of sins and in the absolution and in the body and blood of our Lord in the Eucharist is healing and forgiveness of sins as well. Then too a good pastor can counsel someone as well.
I think Lora would be willing to come down here with us and not try and go it alone in Montana if only I could house her dogs and cats. I am going to ask our landlady if it is possible to make an additional deposit and get the dogs here. Failing that I'll see if there is someone in the church who might take a couple of borders for a few months while Lora gets her life together here and prepares to move back out on her own.
Please keep Lora, Serenity and Grandpa in your prayers. We sure do need them and appreciate them!
