All Quiet on the Western Coast
When I don't write here for a while it can mean several things, it's been so chaotic I haven't had time to write, or so little has happened there is nothing to say or perhaps it could mean I've been exceptionally lazy. This week it was laziness. :-)
As you know Lora is here living with us now and the good news is she has been hired by TJ Max to work in the jewelry department. She starts next week. I'm not sure if the job has benefits or not. I've tried to convince her to apply at all of the local Starbucks stores, they give full medical benefits and 401K to employees who work as few as 20 hours per week. She will find out about the details of the job when she goes to orientation.
Last week, when I was scraping the very bottom of the checking account and needed groceries, a check came from my Mom just in the nick of time to carry us through until payday. God works through Mom a lot :-) Thanks Mom!
Then a few days ago our microwave exploded, almost literally. It made loud popping noises, flashes of light and a cloud of electrical smoke emerged from the rear of the beast! I was dismayed but God was still in charge of things. A totally unexpected check arrived from CNA insurance in payment for expenses and loss of motion for my broken wrist last week. I didn't get full range back, though it's not any sort of disability in my eyes, I seldom need to twist it in the ways the doctor thought I ought to ;-p~ In any case this check was enough to buy a new microwave, and to throw in a crock pot and blender along with it, with money left over to boot.
God is good and He always provides.
