Shangri-la Diet
Here is my latest update. I've continued to use
the diet now for a total of 15 weeks. I am now down 25 pounds to 180 pounds from my starting point of 205. (My peak weight a year after I quit smoking was 220 pounds, so over all I've lost 40 pounds, or nearly 3 - 14 pound - bowling balls) That is 1.66 pounds per week on
this diet, although the rate is not constant at all. Much depends on my activity level and just what I decide to eat. Sometimes, like much of the last month, I've gone back to my old patterns of huge amounts on the plate and then forcing it all down ;-/ But through those days and weeks of pigging out I've remained stable in my weight! On the other hand when I get extra exercise and eat reasonably I slowly lose weight. So, I'm still pleased with it and I still don't get hungry more than normal and I eat what I feel like.
