Don't try this at home...
This photo is from the SF Gate website, the caption reads: "Tragic intrusion: A man slipped into the lions' den at the Kiev Zoo shouting God would keep him safe. Unfortunately, he was wrong."
This is what happens when people read the bible and try to interpret it themselves. Proper exegesis requires training :-/ Honestly the poor deluded fool probably thought the Holy Spirit had told him he would be safe in the midst of the lions. It's reminiscent of the snake handlers of Appalachia or those who decide not to get medical treatment for their children because the bible promises them healing.
