2Look: I, Paul, say to you that if you accept circumcision, Christ will be of no advantage to you. 3I testify again to every man who accepts circumcision that he is obligated to keep the whole law. 4You are severed from Christ, you who would be justified[a] by the law; you have fallen away from grace.
Here Paul explains the extreme danger of diluting the gospel of Christ with the works of man! "You who would be justified by the law; you have fallen away from grace." That is how important it is to never put any human action in the place of grace. There is nothing that we can do that saves us, nothing! I think that the whole idea of "deciding for Christ" is perilously close to putting law before grace. If "accepting Christ" is something that you do this is then a law. It is good to know that this is not the way that it is. The Lord gives us faith, we contribute nothing at all to the process, including making a positive decision.
I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. Philippians 4:11b
